Mr. Jack L. Nothstein

Mr. Jack L. Nothstein Sr.,79, of Nesquehoning, Pa. was called off from labor on Saturday, April 15th in Allentown Pa. He was the husband of the late Suzanne E. (Knox) Nothstein who died on June 25, 2015. Born in Weissport, Pa. he was a son of the late George & Daisy Elizabeth (Klotz) Nothstein and was raised  by his late grandparents, Oscar & Maude (LaRose) Nothstein.  He formerly worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation & The New Jersey Zinc Co. and served our country with The Pennsylvania Army National Guard attaining the rank of Captain of the 165 Military Police Battalion with 23 years of service. Jack also worked for the former Interstate Dress Carriers, Ametek, and  worked as a manager of Turkey Hill convenience stores. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Jack held a Life Membership at Nesquehoning Legion Post 172. A true mason, he was a member and served as The 1993 Worshipful Master of Carbon F & AM Lodge #242, Jim Thorpe, Pa. He was a 32nd degree member of Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown, and held a membership in the Masonic 45th district tie club. He was a member of Rajah Shrine, Reading, Pa., The Shriners of North America, The International Order of “The Turtles”, and was a charter member of The Carbon County Shrine Club. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his loving family. Surviving is a son, Jack L. Nothstein Jr. of Nesquehoning, 2 daughters, Leslie C. Nothstein of Lansford, Lisa M. Brauchle of Allentown, 1 brother, Thomas Nothstein & his wife Dorothy of Lehighton, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren,nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 9-10:45 a.m. Thursday. Masonic Services at 10:45 a.m. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park Hometown with military services. Memorial Contributions in his honor may be made to The American Cancer Society, 101 West Frack St. Frackville, Pa. 1791 or The Shriners Hospital For Children, 3551 N.
