Steve L. Scitney

Mr. Steve L. Scitney, 81, of Mahoning Township passed into eternal rest on Wed. Nov. 17th at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, Pa. He was the husband of Darlene A. (Whiteman) Scitney. They were married for 30 years on April 27th of this year. Born in Weissport, Pa. on Sat. Nov. 2nd 1940, he was a son of the late Rudy & Dorothy (Hinger) Scitney. He was a self-employed concrete construction contractor  for many years working for J & R and M & S concrete. An accomplished musician, he enjoyed playing guitar for several local bands and participating in local “Jam Sessions”. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Kevin Wuest of Palmerton, 2 daughters, Cheryl wife of Dennis Pavalka of Palmerton, Jane, wife of Todd Kropf of Florida, & a sister, Jane McFarland of West Bowmans, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul D. “Mac” Scitney Sr. in 2016. There will be no services held at this time. Online condolences can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com.
