Rose Marie Kessler
October 10, 1939 - June 8, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Kessler of Northampton, Pennsylvania, on June 8, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Salem, Oregon, she was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Verda Thomas.
Rose was the devoted wife of Ronald Kessler, Sr., with whom she shared 52 years of marriage filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories.
A woman of deep faith, Rose was a longtime and dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lehighton, where she generously volunteered her time to staff various church functions and fundraisers. Her commitment to her church family was a testament to her caring and giving spirit.
Professionally, Rose served as a Certified Nurses’ Aide in the convalescent wing of Gnaden Huetten Hospital until her retirement. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her compassion and dedication to caring for others during their most vulnerable moments.
Rose possessed a remarkable artistic talent as an oil painter, and her beautiful works were recognized and celebrated at several events throughout her life. Her artistic legacy will continue to bring joy to those who were fortunate enough to witness her creative gifts.
Rose is lovingly survived by her son Ronald Kessler Jr. and his partner Jean Kinkead, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Joseph Kessler, Benjamin Kessler, Alexa Kinkead, Shaun Kinkead, and Maureen Arnold. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness enriched the lives of all who knew her.
A celebration of Rose's life will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Andrew P. Ovsak's Funeral Home, located at 140 S. 4th St., Lehighton, PA 18235. Family will receive friends from 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be held in Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, Lehighton.
Rose Marie Kessler lived a life of service, creativity, and love. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit and generous heart.
