Robert Earl “Bob” Fatzinger Jr.

1958-2025

Robert Earl “Bob” Fatzinger Jr., age 66, of Lehighton, entered eternal rest Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Lehighton on October 14, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert Earl Fatzinger, Sr. and Marlene D. (Hammel) Fatzinger.  He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Lehighton.

He is survived by two daughters, Meghan Haas, wife of Dustin, of Mt. Morris, New York, and Hannah Hoke, wife of Michael, of California, Maryland. Three grandchildren, Hazel, Mazie and Oliver. Bob is also survived by his sister, Barbara Pare, wife of Craig, and their son Alexander, of Greencastle, Indiana.

Bob was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School Class of 1976, a graduate of East Stroudsburg University Class of 1980, and a graduate of Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia in 1985. Post seminary, Bob worked for Vision Quest, guiding young men from at risk communities to better themselves and their future. After ordination, Bob served as Pastor at several ELCA churches. He then became Director of Family Promise of Carbon County, as well as Peaceful Knights. Bob was Minister of Music at St. Matthew’s ELCA Church, East Weissport/Lehighton.

Bob had a passion for music and theater and was a member of both the Pale Moon Players and Zion Opera Workshop.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 222 Church St., (East Weissport) Lehighton, PA, with The Reverend Michael Frost officiating. Interment will be held at Lehighton Cemetery. There will be no calling hour. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.  The Andrew P.
