Peggy A. Schafer

Peggy A. Schafer, 83, of Lehighton passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 on her 83rd birthday in The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. Born in North Weissport, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ernest D. and Verna M. (Green) Schafer. She was a homemaker. She received her GED from Hahnville High School in  Boutte, LA, in 1989.  Peggy enjoyed crocheting and playing games/cards but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter Sharlene Conarty and her husband Ronald of Lehighton; sons Robert Neff and his wife Donna of Lehighton and Craig Neff of Georgia; sisters Emma Heckman and her husband Frank of Effort and Sally Whiteman of Palmerton; brother Robert Schafer of Palmerton; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Allen, a son Keith Neff and a sister Joan Wentz,

A Funeral Service will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
