Mrs. Virginia L. O’Brien, 91, formerly of Tamaqua & Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Wed. Dec. 30th at The Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph O’Brien who passed away in 2012. Born in Coaldale, Pa. on Friday, Nov. 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Lyle & Sarah (Evans) Morgan. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry as a garment worker for Purling Mills, Tamaqua, Pa. She attended church services at St. John’s UCC, Tamaqua, Pa. Virginia enjoyed dancing with her husband for many years, and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and spending quality time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great-grandchild. Surviving is a daughter, Donna L. Graver of Mahoning Valley, Pa., 5 grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren, & a Great-great-grandchild, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Edward Zarsky, and a sister, Beatrice Heigle. A Celebration Of Life Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 7 at 10 a.m. in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown with SALM Emma Weaver officiating.
