Mrs. Thelma E. "Dolly" Williams, 96, of Weatherly, formerly of the Lehighton area, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, May 30th at Heritage Hills Senior Community, Weatherly, Pa. She was the wife of the late Dr. Lewis H. Williams DDS who died on Feb. 8, 2016. Born in Franklin Township on Monday, January 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late William E. & Ada (Dorward) Wentz. She was a 1945 Lehighton Area High School graduate. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a dental assistant for her late husbands dental practice in Spring City, Pa. and formerly worked in the same capacity for Dr. Clyde Graver & Dr. Harold Frendt dental practices in the Carbon County area. "Dolly" was an active member of Ben Salem UCC where she taught Sunday School and served as a Deacon & an Elder. She volunteered her time with the Gnaden Huetten Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and in her spare time loved walking her canine friends. Surviving are Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Seltzer, Lillian Prutzman, Fern Keiser, Mildred Wentz, & brothers, Erwin, Lester, Curtis, Gerald, Stanford, Clair & Warren Wentz. Funeral Services will be held on Wed. June 5 at 11 a.m. at Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Rd. Lehighton with Rev. Randy Lentz officiating. Call 10-11 a.m. in the church. Interment in The Lehighton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to the Carbon County Animal Shelter 63 Broad St. Nesquehoning Pa. 18240.
