Mrs. Suzanne Marion (Warsaw) Shapcott

Mrs. Suzanne Marion Shapcott, 91, of Lehighton, passsed away at home on Tuesday, July 22 surrounded by her loving husband Michael and family. She was a loving wife, mother and adored her 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her life was devoted to her family and faith. Suzanne was born in England 91 years ago on 5/14/1934 to Reginald & Nancy (Pratt) Warsaw and came to America in in 1967. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Health Manufacturer Production Worker and also worked for the McDonald's Restaurant Chain. She was a former member and Senior Warden at Calvary Episcopal Church in Tamaqua where she was an originator of the Calvary Adult Day Care Center. Surviving in addition to her husband Michael and grand & great grandchildren are a daughter, Jane Tkach (Timothy) of Lehighton, a son, John Shapcott (Linda) of Plainville, Conn. She was prdeceased by a sister, Jean Harries, & 2 brothers, Peter & Allen Warsaw. A Celebration of Life Services in her honor will be held on Thursday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at the Ovsak FH, 4th & Iron St. with the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
