Mrs. Shirley A. (Andrew) Walk

Mrs. Shirley A. Walk, 84, of Lehighton, Pa., passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 15th  at St. Luke’s Hospital-Lehighton, one day before her 85th birthday. She was the wife of the late Elmer G. Walk Jr. who passed away in 1972. Born in Weissport, Pa. on Wednesday, September 16th, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Russell & Esther (Nothstein) Andrew. Prior to retiring, she was employed as a millworker in the garment industry at Barson & Bishop & Scotty’s Mills. She was of the Lutheran faith and was a family oriented person. Surviving is a son, Chris D. Walk of Lehighton, a daughter, Denise Emmert of South Carolina, 4 grandchildren, Courtney, Savannah, Terry, Michael, a great-grandson, a great-granddaughter, brothers, & sisters. She was predeceased by several brothers & a sister. Funeral Services will be held on Monday Sept. 20th at 10 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St. Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Face masks/social distancing suggested. Call 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment in Towamensing Cemetery, Fireline Rd., Palmerton, Pa.
