Mrs. Sharon L. (Leiby) Williams

Mrs. Sharon L. Williams, 67, of Lower Towamensing Township, Pa., passed into eternal rest on Friday, January 3rd at her residence. She was the wife of the late Barry L. Williams Sr. who passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011. Born in Palmerton, Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 27, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Edwin & Gladys ( Paules) Leiby. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a factory worker  at Fernbrook for over 40 years and most recently worked for Majestic VF, Easton, Pa., retiring in 2015. Sharon was a very dedicated mother, grandmother, & sister. Her family was the most important thing to her in life. Surviving are 2 daughters, Angela & her fiancé, Jerry Morey of Mohnton, Pa., Dawn, wife of Brendan Sanchez of Palmerton, Pa., 2 sons, Travis Williams & companion, Mel Ashner of Palmerton, Pa., Barry Williams Jr. & his wife Jody, of Kunkletown, Pa., 5 Sisters, Carolyn, wife of Terry Borger of Lehighton, Betty Hedrick of Palmerton, Janice, wife of Frank Hofacker of Palmerton, Eileen Hahn of West Bowman’s, Sandra, wife of Charles Kistler of Aquashicola, 5 grandchildren, Gunnar, Alexis, Taylor, Desiree, Colton, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Cheryl Stuckley, & 2 brothers, Barry, & Edwin “Butch” Leiby. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 10th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, Pa. with Mr. Terry Hauser officiating. Call 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. Interment in Towamensing Cemetery, Fireline Rd. Palmerton, Pa. Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
