Mrs. Sandra J. (Behler) Serfass

Mrs. Sandra J. Serfass, 70, of Bowmanstown Pa., passed into eternal rest on Sunday, January 31st, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving & caring family. She was the wife of Walter Serfass, They were married for 50 years last Feb. 2nd, 2020. Born in Lehighton Pa. on Saturday, June 17, 1950, she was a daughter of the late John & Stella (Snyder) Behler.  Sandy was a 1968 graduate of The Palmerton High School. She was a member of Trinity  Lutheran Church in Bowmanstown, The Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary & a member of the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She had a passion for life and always supported all of her families endeavors and lived for spending time with her grandsons. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 sons, Corey Serfass & his wife Kimberly, Michael Serfass & his wife Jennifer, two grandsons, Cole & Cade, 4 sisters, Joan Hochberg & her companion Robert Martin, Maryann, wife of Melvin Muffley, Violet, wife of Larry Solt, Jean, wife of Earl Reabold, all of Lehighton, Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Beidleman & her husband Larry of Bowmanstown, & a brother in law Carl (Si) Hochberg of Lehighton. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 5th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverend Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Call 9-11 a.m. on Friday. Covid19 social distancing is advised and face masks are mandatory. Please limit your time with the family during the visitation so others attending the visitation have time to convey sympathies to the family as well .Interment in the Lehighton Cemetery.
