Mrs. Sandra L. (Kobal) Schaeffer

Mrs. Sandra L. Schaeffer, 77, of Lehighton, {a. passed into eternal rest on Sunday, July 11th at her residence. She was the wife of Kenneth V. Schaeffer. They were married for 53 years last Sept. 16th 2020. Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late George & Anna (Radick) Kobal. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry as a millworker for Tom’s Sportswear and Scotty’s Fashions. Sandy was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton where she served on the Altar Guild. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her “Grand-puppies” Stella & Goose. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Sara A. , and her Fiance, Shawn Kresge of Penn Forest Township, a son Eric G. Schaeffer of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a sister, Sarah Kripper of Lehighton, a brother, Charles Kobal & his wife Pat of Florida, many nieces & a nephew. She was predeceased by 3 sisters, Anna Szoke, Rose Ann Kraus, Mary Anagnostou, & 3 brothers, John, James (Jake), & George Kobal. A Memorial Celebration Of Life Service in her honor will be held on Thursday July 15th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, with the Rev. Timothy A. Hasenecz officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment in the Lehighton Cemetery following the services.
