Mrs. Ruth A. Lacene Fogel, 82, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 12th at St. Luke’s Hospital-Lehighton. She was the wife of Larry F. Fogel. They were married for 63 years on March 29th of this year. Born in Allentown, Pa. on Tuesday, April 4th, 1939, she was a daughter of the late William & Iva (Phifer) Felker. She was a graduate of Chambersburg Area High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Receptionist/Programmer for the Lehighton Electronics Company. Lacene was an active member of Faith Alive Methodist Church, Bowmanstown where she sang on the parish choir. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Lehighton and in her spare time, enjoyed camping and spending time with her loving family. Surviving in addition to her husband are 2 daughters, Bambi, wife of Duane Elsasser, Kimberly, wife of Michael Kunkle of Lehighton, a sister, Florence Michaels of Chambersburg, Pa., a brother, William Felker & his wife Jean of California, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 4 sisters, Melva Davies, Allena Badman, Miriam Longergan, Mary Jane Schriver, & a brother Dale Felker. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 17th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverend Robert C. Timlin officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Monday. Interment in the Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, 4th & Union St., Lehighton. COVID19 social distancing is in effect. Face masks are mandatory.
