Mrs. Phyllis E. Miller, 86, of Mahoning Valley, formerly of Palmerton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Friday, July 25th at the Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab. Ctr. She was the widow of the late Raymond R. Miller who died Nov. 9, 2005. Born in Pine Run, Franklin Township, Pa .on April 8, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Stanley & Pauline (Smith) Smith. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sewing machine operator at Fernbrook Sportswear. She was a member of St. John's Towamensing Evangelical Lutheran Church, Palmerton and volunteered at the Palmerton Furniture Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to BINGO. Surving are 2 daughters, Robin Walck (Carl) of Bowmanstown, Yvette Getz ( Rick) of Palmerton, 2 sons, Warren Schoch (Marie) Stanley Schoch (Cynthia) of Palmerton, a sister, Pat Hoffman (James), of Palmerton, 10 grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Constance Pitts, Barry, Larry, Clair, Ferman, & Stanley Smith Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 1st at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Rev. Roger Berger officiating. call 10-11 a.m. on Friday. Interment in Towamensing Cemetery, Fireline Rd. Palmerton.
