Mrs. Mary F. Knorr, 78, of Penn Forest Township, Jim Thorpe, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 27th at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa. She was the wife of John J. “Jack” Knorr II. They were married for 52 years last May 25th, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Wednesday, December 2, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Jack & Florence (Schneider) Kershaw. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a medical transcriptionist at Fox Chase Cancer Center with over 30 years of service. Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe Pa. She held memberships with the Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club and the Bear Creek Lakes Association. A family oriented person, she enjoyed time with her loving family and crocheting. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Susan P., wife of William Landis of N. Wildwood, NJ, 2 sons, John J. “Jack” Knorr III & his wife Kathleen of Apex, N. Carolina, Peter A. Knorr of Quakertown, Pa., 2 sisters, Lillian Cella of Dunnellon, Florida, Patricia, wife of Alex Stasyk of Jim Thorpe, a brother, Joseph Kershaw & his wife Connie, of Sicklerville, NJ, 3 grandchildren, 5 Great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry F. Kershaw. A Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be held on Tuesday, May 4th at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 108 West Broadway, Jim Thorpe, Pa. with the Reverend John Cella OFN officiating. Call 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the church. Social Distancing will be observed. Face masks are mandatory. Interment in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Jim Thorpe.
