Mrs. Marjorie L. (Landis) Strauss

Mrs. Marjorie L. Strauss, 96, of Mahoning Valley, Pa., passed into eternal rest on Friday July 20th at The Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Unit, 17th & Chew Street, Allentown, Pa. She was the wife of the Late Leonard A. Strauss Sr. who passed away in 1976. Born in Allentown, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Stanley & Mayme (Sloane) Landis. She was a graduate of The Bethlehem Business School and prior to her retirement, was employed as a secretary for The Carbon County Vocational Technical  Institute, Jim Thorpe, Pa. Marjorie was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, Pa., The Order of The Eastern Star, & The Pennsylvania Association Of School Retirees-PASR). Surviving are 3 daughters, Sharen Ace of Lehighton, Jacqueline, wife of Kenneth Everett of Northampton, Deborah, wife of David Caccese MD, of Allentown, a son, Leonard A. “Bud” Strauss Jr. & his wife Greta of Lehighton, a sister, Madeline Lerch of Glenside, Pa., 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.  She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Hilda Landis, Kathleen Helmuth, and a brother, Stanley Landis. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 9:30 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 South 4th Street, Lehighton with the Reverend Scott Weldon officiating. Call 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday. Interment following the services in St. John Cemetery, Mahoning Valley, Pa.
