Mrs. Marilyn E. Frey, 84, of Mahoning Valley, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Thursday, June 25th at St. Luke's Hospital, Coaldale. She was the wife of the late Howard W. Frey who passed away Jan. 15, 2008. Born in Lehighton Pa. on April 28, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Marvin L. & Minnie (Brown) Barry. Prior to her retirement, she was co-owner of Frey Farms in Mahoning Valley with her husband Howie. Marilyn was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mahoning Valley & the Gnaden Huetten Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Spending time with her loving family meant everything to her during her lifetime. Surviving are 3 daughters, Julia Schock and her companion Gary Smith of East Penn Township, Marcy Cetnar (Lyle) of Kunkletown, Marjorie Frey wife of Ryan Simmons of West Penn Township, 4 sons, Chris Knappenberger (Kelly) of Mahoning Valley, Gerald "Jake" Knappenberger of Lehighton, Nevin Frey (Denise) of Beaver Run, Charles Frey (Laura) of East Penn Township, a daughter in law, Beverly DiGilio of East Penn Township, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a son Andy Knappenberger, a sister, Mary Lou Leslie, & a brother, Marvin J. Barry Jr. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 2nd at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Dr W., Lehighton, Pa.with the Rev. Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Call 9:00-11 a.m.Thursday in the church. Interment in Franklin Heights Memorial Park, East Weissport, Pa.
