Mrs. Marie D. (Conarty) Mriss

Mrs. Marie D. Mriss, 94, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 16th at her residence. She was the wife of the late Paul S. Mriss who passed away February 4th, 1990. Born in Lehighton Pa. on Friday, July 30th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. Sr. & Rotha E. “Dot” Snyder Conarty. Marie was a housewife/homemaker supporting her family’s endeavors. She was a very devout member of SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she served with the Altar & Rosary Society. Marie held memberships with the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians in Jim Thorpe and The Lehighton Women’s Club. Surviving is a son, Paul E. Mriss & his wife Ruth Ann of Lehighton, 3 grandchildren, Michael Mriss & his wife Kelly, Patrick Mriss & his wife Dawn, a daughter, Allison, wife of Dekota Daywalt of Lehighton, 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Edward J. Conarty Jr. on February 11th of this year. A Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 20th at 10 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 260 North Third Street, Lehighton with the Reverend Christopher M. Zelonis & Reverend Philip F. Rodgers concelebrant officiating, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr. Call 9-10 a.m. in the church. Interment in the parish cemetery.
