Mrs. Marie A. Jackson, 83, of Towamensing Township, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of James J. Jackson. They were married for 64 years last September 1, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday November 14, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Cataldo & Katherine (O’Boyle) DeGeorge. Prior to her retirement she worked as a secretary with Ford Auto Design and served as a housewife/homemaker for her loving family. Marie was a member of SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton, Pa. She was a member of the Beltzville Women’s Club & the Little Flower Alumni. Surviving in addition to her husband are 3 daughters, Donna O’Brien of Berwick, Pa., Debbie, wife of Dennis O’Neill of Pennsauken NJ, Michelle, wife of Robert Forrest of Philadelphia, Pa., 2 sons, James Jackson & his wife Joanne of Philadelphia, Pa., John Jackson & his wife Colleen of Kresgeville, Pa., 2 sisters, Ann Brewin of Houston, Texas, Phyllis Batschlet of Philadelphia, Pa., 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be celebrated on Monday, March 8th at 11 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul RC Church 260 N. 3rd St., Lehighton with the Reverend Christopher M. Zelonis & Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr. officiating. Call 9-11 a.m. in the church. Interment in the parish cemetery. Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to the church at 18235.
