Karen L. Lusch of Lehighton, born January 24, 1955, to the late Paul D. Reed and Anna (Mermon), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife to Ronald L. Lusch for 51 cherished years, creating a loving home filled with laughter and support.
Karen was immensely proud of her two sons, Michael Lusch (wife Kimberly) and Eric Lusch, both of Lehighton. She found joy in their achievements and was a constant source of encouragement. Her relationships with her sisters, Sandra Lindner (husband Gene) of Lehighton and Veronica (husband Derryl, sons Derryl & Bill) of Dublin, GA, were filled with love, laughter, and shared memories that will forever resonate in their hearts. Brother-in-law Earl Lusch, Larry Gombert, Carol Hankee, and Sister-in-law Doris Lusch, and their families, brought joy to her life, as too, did her relationships with her many cousins.
She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Michelle, and her dear nephew, Brian Lindner. Karen’s legacy lives on through her adoring grandchildren, Miley, Noah, and Madison, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
A compassionate caregiver at heart, Karen touched the lives of many. She found happiness in going the Lehighton football games, buying and selling Longaberger baskets and relished the thrill of hosting yard sales, large gatherings, and celebrations, where her infectious enthusiasm shone brightly.
Karen’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Calling hours will be held at The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, on Sunday, October 6 from 6-8pm, where friends and family can come together to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Lehighton Touchdown club or Carbon County Animal Shelter. Online condolences can be offered at www.ovsakfh.com
