Mrs. Joan O. McElmoyle, 95, of Lehighton, Pa., passed into eternal rest on Sat. Dec. 11th at Maple Shade Meadows, Nesquehoning, Pa. She was the wife of the late James T. McElmoyle. Born in Brooklyn New York on Friday, June 18th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Mabel (Berry) O’Toole. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an executive secretary in the corporate world of the lighting & electrical industry. Joan was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Flourtown, Pa. and volunteered her time at Zion United Church Of Christ, Lehighton. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family, traveling the globe, and taking trips to the family cabin at Lake Harmony, Pa. Surviving is a daughter, Christine M., wife of Edward J. Remaley of Lehighton, 2 granddaughters, Caity Remaley James, wife of Alan James , Gwen Remaley & her fiancé, Colton Davidson, of Lehighton, 2 great-grandchildren, James & Luca, nieces & nephews She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Robert & Richard O’Toole. Funeral Services will be held on Wed. Dec. 15th at 2 p.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Rev. Dr. Dean D. Frey officiating. Call 12:30- 2 p.m. Wed. at the funeral home. Interment following the services in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown, Pa. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to Zion UCC, 225 Iron St., Lehighton, Pa. 18235.
