Mrs. Jean C. (Nothstein) Zimmerman

Mrs. Jean C. Zimmerman, 96, of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on April 28th at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa. She was the wife of the late Richard A. Zimmerman who passed away Sept. 21, 2011. Born in Lehighton, Pa. on Jan. 4, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Kermit & Ruth (Wagner) Nothstein. She was a 1948 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry for Barson & Peerless Mills Lehighton and previously worked for Genetti's Market as a cashier and also as a cafeteria worker for the Lehighton School district. Jean was a very family oriented person and was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton. She enjoyed bus trips, especially to  Radio City Music Hall, NYC with her family and her former millworker friends and enjoyed attending Dance With Kim recitals with her granddaughters. Surviving is a daughter, Karen Donner of Lehighton, a son, Richard Zimmerman & his wife Patricia of Lehighton, a sister, Karen Flick of Lehighton, 4 grandchildren, William, Sarah, Amanda, Stephanie, 6 greatgrandchildren, Ajay, Amith, Benjamin, Amelia, Wesley, & Murphy, nieces & nephews. A Private Graveside Memorial Service will be held in the Lehighton Cemetery.
