Mrs. Jean A. Billig, 83, of Bowmanstown, Pa. passed away May 15th at her residence. She was the wife of the late Keith G. Billig. Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Maurice & Marjorie (Brown) Warner. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cabinet maker at Stanley Vidmar. She was a member of Emmanuel UCC, Bowmanstown and was a Past Worthy Matron of Gnaden Huetten Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was a family oriented person and enjoyed needlework, playing Bingo, swimming at the Palmerton Pool, and talking about her early life in Parryville. Dementia took a lot away from her but she still managed to laugh & smile. She enjoyed singing Elvis songs & Gospel music along with her piano playing. She belted out "You Area My Sunshine" every chance she got. A special thanks to St. Luke's Hospice. She will be greatly missed. Surviving is a son, Brian Billig (Kathy) of Bowmanstown,( Nephew Matthew Yurkunas), a daughter in law, Linda Billig of Palmerton, a sister, Edith Crossin of Jim Thorpe, 2 grandchildren, Amanda, & Olivia, Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Bradley K. Billig. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
