Mrs. Grace Helen Finney, 94, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, January 25th at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Edward Joseph Finney Jr. who passed away on January 11th of this year 2024. Born in Nesquehoning, Pa. on Monday, June 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late James & Lillian (Marino) Ouly. She was a 1947 graduate of Nesquehoning High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the garment industry for Scotty's Fashions and took care of her loving family as a homemaker/housekeeper. Grace was a member of SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton and a member of The International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She and her husband enjoyed listening & dancing to Polka music. Surviving are 2 sons, Edward James Finney & his wife Linda of East Penn Township, Richard T. Finney & his wife Cindy of Lehighton, a brother Thomas Ouly of Nesquehoning, Pa. 4 grandchildren, Christopher, Shelia, Michele, Melissa, 3 Greatgrandchildren, Jeremy, Max, Brody, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Ouly, & 2 sisters, Rosie Ouly Richards, & Madeline Ouly. A Mass of Christian Burial in her honor will be celebrated on Friday, February 2nd at 11 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 3rd & Coal St. Lehighton with the Reverend Christopher M. Zelonis officiating assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm Jr. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday in the church. Interment in the parish cemetery N. 4th St. Lehighton.
