Mrs. Florence P. Rudelitch, 93, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Wed. Dec. 16th at The Summit Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Franklin E. Rudelitch who passed away on March 24, 2010. Born in Andreas, Pa. on Wed. Feb. 2nd, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Harold & Esther (Haas) Fritz. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the food preparation department of the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, and also was a homemaker/housewife supporting her family’s endeavors. Florence was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mahoning Valley, Pa. She served the community as a Brownie Leader and was a member of The Mahoning Valley Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and The Mahoning Valley Elementary School PTA. Surviving are 2 daughters, Marjorie, wife of Joseph Federanich of Palmerton, Jean, wife of Myron Everett of Mahoning Valley, 2 sons, Joseph Rudelitch & his wife Loretta of New Ringgold, Michael Rudelitch & his companion Mary Trinkle of East Weissport, 2 brothers, Arthur Fritz & his wife Dorothy of Lehighton, Vernon Fritz & his companion Lorraine Fritz of Andreas, 8 grandchildren, 9 Great-grandchildren, 4 Great-great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by an infant sister, a sister, Beatrice Longacre, a brother Larry Fritz, and a daughter in law, Lori Rudelitch. A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service in her honor will be held on Tues. Dec. 29th at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton with the Rev. Lauren Blatt officiating. Call 9:30 a.m.to 11 a.m. in the church. Interment in the parish cemetery. Face masks are mandatory, COVID 19 restrictions are in place.
