Mrs. Corinne K. Gilham, 96, formerly of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Thursday Aug. 8th at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab. Ctr. She was the widow of the late Elmer P. Gilham who passed away Dec. 23, 1992. Born in Lehighton Pa. on July 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lester & Edith (Kromer) Stern. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sewing machine operator at Barson & Bishop Mills, and was a co-owner, with her husband, of Gilham's Cafe, Lehighton. Corinne was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton, and The Lehighton American Legion Post 314 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving is a daughter, Lucinda E. Sterling of Lehighton, a granddaughter, Melissa Snyder ( Michael) of Andreas, a grandson, Luke Sterling (Morgan) of New Tripoli, 5 great-grandchildren, Mia, Makenna, Mallory Snyder, Lucian & Teagan Sterling, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Lester Stern in 2001. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 13th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with Deacon Charles Barebo officiating. call 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in The Gnaden Huetten Cemetery, 4th & Union St., Lehighton. memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 301 N. 2nd St., Lehighton, Pa. 18235.
