Mrs. Carolyn Koch Obituary

Mrs. Carolyn M. “Tootie”Koch, 88, of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Friday, November 26th at Maple Shade Meadows Nursing Home, Nesquehoning, Pa. She was the wife of Plair W. Koch. They were married for 71 years on Aug. 26th of this year. Born in Rickertsville, Pa. on Thursday, Jan. 26th, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Morris & Grace (Frable) LaRose. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sewing machine operator for Barson & Bishop Mills, and was also the owner/operator of LaRose’s Skating Rink, Franklin Township and Skateland Skating Rink, Paxton, Ill. Carolyn was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lehighton. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family, Crocheting, and exploring the Internet. Surviving in addition to her husband are 5 daughters, Roxanne Koch, of Lancaster, Claire, wife of Richard Everett of Harrisburg, Deborah, wife of Patrick Fagan of Willow Street, Brenda, wife of Roy Artz of Lehighton, Barbara Koch of Lehighton, a brother, M. Herbert LaRose of Lehighton, 2 sisters, Anna Everett of Lehighton, Marian May of Walnutport, an uncle Frank Frable of Lehighton, 11 grandchildren, Greatgrandchildren, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, John Charles & Allen Ammon LaRose and a great- great grandson. There will be no services held at this time.
