Mrs. Bonnie Lee Trinkle, 70, of Franklin Township, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Wed. May 15th at her residence. She was the wife of the late Stephen A. Trinkle who died on Sept. 9, 2017. Born in Lehighton, Pa. on Tues. Oct. 6, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Miles H.C. & Lorraine (Getz) Knappenberger, and the stepdaughter of the late Iva M. (Keiser) Knappenberger. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a medical laboratory hematology technician for many years for many of the local laboratories and medical professionals. Bonnie was of the Lutheran Faith and held a membership at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in E. Weissport. She was a member of the Andreas Sporting Club and formerly kept a social membership at the Lehighton American Legion Post 314. She enjoyed all animals and was an avid reader. Surviving are 2 brothers, Miles Knappenberger & his wife Barbara of Long Run, James Knappenberger & his wife Barbara of East Penn Township, a sister, Judy A. wife of Stephen Hahn of Long Run, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Gary L Knappenberger and a sister Dorothea E. Getz. Funeral Services will be held on Tues. May 21st at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. call 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Long Run Cemetery, Franklin Township. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St, Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229 or The Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad Street, Nesquehoning , Pa. 18240.
