Mr. Thomas W. Keer

Mr. Thomas W. Keer, 78, of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Sunday, June 2nd at St. Luke’s Hospital Allentown, Pa. He was the husband of the late Anne M. (Radocha) Keer who passed away Sept. 18, 2011. They were married for 49 years at her passing. Born in Coaldale, Pa on Thursday, May 22nd, 1941, he was a son of the late Andrew & Helen (Glick) Keer. Tom was a graduate of The Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science, Class of 1963. He was employed as a pharmacist for many years at The Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital. Tom was an active member of SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton where he served as Lector. He formerly coached Notre Dame Knee High Football for the Lehighton Booster Club. In his spare time, Tom could be found hunting, fishing, cooking, baking and enjoying precious time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving are 2 daughters, Patricia Hartman of Lehighton, Karen, wife of Peter Shanton of Lehighton, 3 sons, Thomas Keer, and his wife Christine of Lehighton, Joseph Keer & his wife Melissa of Glenmore, Pa., William Keer & his wife Pamela of Palmerton, a brother Charles Keer & his wife Celia of Coaldale, 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, Christine, Rebecca, Jonathan, Sarah, Daniel, Matthew, Grace, Anna, Nicholas, Luke, 1 great-grandson, Grayson, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Beth Anne & a brother Andrew. Prayers will be held on Friday, June 7th at 9:30 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul RC Church, 242 N. 3rd St., Lehighton with Monsignor Stephen Radocha Celebrant and Reverend William Seifert Concelebrant officiating. Vigil Service 6 p.m. on Thursday June 6th at the funeral home. Call 6:15 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
