Mr. Robert L. Lutz

Mr. Robert L. Lutz, 80, of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Sat. Nov. 27th at New Eastwood Healthcare Nursing & Rehab. Ctr., Easton, Pa. He was the husband of Karen L. (Solt) Lutz who passed away April 22, 2002. Born in Palmerton, Pa. on Friday, Sept. 26, 1941, he was a son of the late Theodore & Elizabeth (Smith) Lutz. He served our country with the US Army  during the Viet Nam War and later served with the Pa. Army National Guard attaining the rank of SGT.. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at The NJ Zinc/HRD company Palmerton as a maintenance worker. He was of the Lutheran Faith and previously attended church services with his wife at the former Grace Lutheran Church, Lehighton. Robert was a member of The Palmerton Lions Club, The Lehighton American Legion Post 314, The Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, and The Lehighton Orioles Nest #183. Surviving is his companion, Dorettte Gombert, 2 daughters, Sherri Lee Lutz & Denise Marie Lutz of Lehighton, a sister, Eileen Lutz of Allentown, Pa., a brother, Earl Lutz of Las Vegas Nevada, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Tammie Lutz, 2 sisters, Betty Shupp, Emma Smale, & a brother Russell. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 3rd at 11 a.m. at Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Call 10-11 a.m. on Friday followed by interment in Franklin Heights Memorial Park, E. Weissport with full military honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
