Mr. Murray O. Andreas

Mr. Murray O. Andreas, 86, of Nesquehoning ,Pa. passed into eternal rest on Thursday, Oct. 15th in his residence. He was the husband of Kathryn A.”(Kay”(Mucklow) Andreas. They were married for 66 years on May 29th of this year. Born in Andreas, Pa. on Tues. Dec. 19th, 1933, he was a son of the late Mark O. & Evelyn E. (Creitz) Andreas. Prior to his retirement he was employed at the Bethlehem Steel Corp.,  theTrojan Powder Explosives Corp. and as a maintenance department worker for Merchant’s/Wells Fargo financial institutions. Murray was a lifelong member of Ben Salem United Church of Christ, East Penn Township where he volunteered his time with the willing workers. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Deborah K. Andreas of Coatesville, Pa., a son, Michael O. Andreas & his wife Paula of Kingsville, MO, 2 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Robert, Clair, & Lawrence Andreas. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 20th at 11 a.m. at Ben Salem UCC, 1965 Church Hill Rd., Lehighton with the Reverend Michael J. McGowan officiating. COVID 19 regulations & social distancing will be in place. Facemasks are mandatory. Private Viewing. Interment in the parish (New) cemetery.
