Mr. Michael N. Szacska, 87, of Palmerton, formerly of Nis Hollow, passed into eternal rest on Monday, May 31st at The Palmerton-Senior Center, Palmerton, Pa. He was the husband of the late Leah A. (Reichard) Szacska who passed away, August 27, 2017. Born in Grant Town, West Virginia, on Thursday, December 6th, 1933, he was a son of the late John & Anna (Lakatas) Szacska. He served our country with the US Army during the end of the Korean Conflict attaining the rank of SP3 (T).Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed by Mack Trucks, Allentown, Pa. in the Changeover Department. Mike was a member of SS Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Palmerton, Pa. He was a true tradesman, and just loved to work. He enjoyed doing home repairs. Surviving is a daughter, Deborah J. Szacska & her significant other, Robert F. Taylor of Nis Hollow, a sister, Anna, wife of James Dailey, a brother, George Szacska & his wife Eleanor of Lehighton, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, William & Julius Szacska. The Funeral Services & Interment will be private. Memorial Contributions in his name may be made to a charity of choice.
