Mr. Leonard E. Goldberg, 82, of Franklin Township passed away Monday, June 22nd at his residence. He was the husband of the late Gladys A. (Hoffman) Goldberg who passed away July 20, 2014. Born in E. Weissport, Pa. on Jan. 16, 1944, he was a son of the late Howard E. & Dorothy M. (Ziegenfuss) Goldberg. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at The Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a crane operator with 30 years of service. He previously worked as a silk weaver and also worked for ALPO pet foods, Keystone Lamp Factory, and as a custodian for the Franklin Township Elementary School. He was of the Christian Faith. Leonard enjoyed dancing, listening to bands, playing guitar, refinishing furniture, home remodeling & fishing. Surviving is a close companion, Maryann Muffley of Lehighton, daughter Bonnie L. Fritz (Keith), of Lehighton, a son Darrin L. Goldberg (Stacy), of Palmerton, 2 sisters, Lorraine Mosko of Harrisburg, Louise Bishop of Lehighton, 3 brothers, Leroy Goldberg (Audrey) of Lehighton, Leo Goldberg of Florida, Larwence Goldberg (Penny) of Fountain Hill, 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday June 30 at 11 a.m. at the Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St. Lehighton with Pastor Casey Spencer officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday.
