Mr. Larry F. R. Fogel 83, of Lehighton passed away Saturday, Feb. 18th at St. Luke’s Hospital-Carbon. He was the husband of the late Ruth A. Lacene (Felker) Fogel who died on May 12, 2021. Born in Aquashicola, Pa. on July 16, 1939, he was a son of the late Harvey N. & Flora E. (Eckhart) Fogel. He was a 1957 graduate of the Lehighton Area High School and served our country with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by MACK trucks as an assembly line worker. Larry was a member of Faith Alive UMC, (Bowmanstown) Palmerton where he sang on the parish choir. In his spare time he enjoyed his loving family, camping & hunting. Surviving are two daughters, Bambi L. wife of Duane Elsasser of Lehighton, Kimberly L., wife of Michael Kunkle of DeLeon Springs, Florida, 7 grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, June E. Boger, Phyllis Haydt & a brother, Harvey Evan Fogel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Rev. Robert C. Timlin officiating. Call 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
