Mr. Joseph A. Pavlik Sr.

Mr. Joseph A. Pavlik Sr., 81, of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Monday evening, March 11th, at The Manor at St. Luke Village, Hazleton, Pa. He was the husband of Mary A. (Kressley) Pavlik. They were married for 59 years last Aug. 22nd, 2023. Born In Elizabeth, Union County New Jersey on Sunday Feb. 21, 1943, he was a son of the late Joseph J. & Ruth (Mertz) Pavlik. Prior to his retirement in was employed as a business owner in the automotive repair/maintenance industry and most recently worked as a transporter for the Carbon Lehigh IU. An active antique/classic/race car enthusiast/mechanic, Joe was a member of The Hawk Mtn Early V-8 Ford Club and attended cruises and NASCAR racing events. He could always be found in his garage working on his cars. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Nicole Bjorkman (Ricky), a daughter in law Sherri Pavlik of Lehighton, a sister, Rose Marie Behler (Barry) of Palmerton, & 2 great-granddaughters, Gia, &Taylor. He was predeceased by a son Joseph A. Pavlik Jr. in 2018 and a sister, Ruth Ann Bobst in 2021. A Memorial Celebration Of Life Service in his honor will be held on Monday, March 18th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverend Michael A. Frost officiating. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
