Mr. Harvey Marlin Willet

Mr. Harvey M. Willet, 91, of East Penn Township, Pa., passed into eternal rest on Monday, January 23rd at The Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Sarepta E. (May) Willet. They were married for 62 years last Aug, 6th 2022. Born in Allentown, Pa. on Wednesday December 23, 1931, he was a son of the late Jacob & Helen (Comp) Willet. Harvey served our country during the Viet Nam War with the US Army attaining the rank of Master Sergeant with 24 years of service. He most recently was employed as an insurance agent with Peoples Security/Transamerica Life Co. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mahoning Valley, The Lehighton American Legion Post 314, Carbon Lodge F & AM #242,The Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, & The East Penn Sporting Club. In his spare time, Harvey loved fishing, gardening, splitting firewood, and spending time with his loving grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 sons, Greg Willet & his wife Julie of East Penn Township, Gary Willet & his wife Lynn of Harrington Delaware, a sister, Norma Leap of Sciota, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Nola Collins, Evelyn Fralich, & 2 brothers, Wayne & Gene Willet. A Celebration Of Life Memorial Service in his honor will be held on Thursday, January 26th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, Pa. with the Reverend Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday. Interment with full military honors in St. John’s Cemetery, Mahoning Valley under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO. Memorial Contributions in his honor may be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Dr. West, Lehighton, Pa. 18235 or to a charity of ones choice.
