Mr. Franklin R. Balliet, 85, of Palmerton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Friday, Aug. 14th at Alexandria Manor, Bethlehem, Pa. He was the husband of the late Barbara A. (Hand) Balliet who passed away, November 17, 2017. Born in Lehighton on Wednesday, October 31, 1934, he was a son of the late Bertine & Alberta (Kocher) Balliet.He srerved our country with the US Army from 1957-1959 ataining the rank of PFC (T). Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Dixie Cup, Easton, Pa. as a production worker. He attended services at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bowmanstown and held a Life membership with the Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving is a daughter, Kelly J., wife of Kevin Slack of Bethlehem, Pa. a son, Scott G. Balliet & his wife Robyn of Mosely, Va.,a sister, Eleanor Ahner of Lehighton, Pa. Grandchildren, Brandon, Noah, Ryan, Great-grandchildren, Emma, Evelyn Victor, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Clark & Donald Balliet. Call 9-10 a.m. Wed. Aug.19th at the Ovsak FH. Masks are mandatory. COVID19 restrictions in place. Please limit your visitation time with the family so others have a chance to visit as well. Military Interment following the services in Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, Ashfield, Pa. . Memorial Contributions in his honor may be made to a charity of choice.
