Mr. David F. Eickhoff, 86, of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, June 3rd at St. Luke’s Hospital-Allentown. He was the husband of Thema H. (Wernett) Eickhoff. They were married for 60 years last September 4th, 2020. Born in Hazleton, Pa. on Friday, March 29th , 1935, he was a son of the late Leroy & Margaret (Balliet) Eickhoff. David served our country with the US Army with the Company C, 69th Signal Battalion attaining the rank of SP5 (T). Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a janitor/maintenance technician for Barson & Bishop, & Baer Silk Mills. He was of the Lutheran Faith.
In his younger years, David enjoyed hunting & fishing in the local area. Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 daughters, Cheryl, wife of Alan Sienkiewicz, Lynette Eickhoff of Lehighton, Tammy Sterling & her companion, Curtis Gibson of Weissport, 2 sons, Brian Eickhoff & his wife Liz, Kevin Eickhoff & his companion, Christine Griffaton of Ashfield, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a half-sister Doris Zellner, a half-brother, Jack Zellner & a brother, Robert Eickhoff. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
