Mr. Darryl J. Brewster, 75, of Palmerton, Pa. formerly of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Thursday, July 3rd at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa. Born in Lehighton, Pa. on Thursday, July 28, 1949, he was a son of the late John & Valeince (Wolfe) Brewster. He served our country with the US Army during the Viet Nam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a maintenance worker for the Pa. Turnpike Administration. He attended Lehigh County Community College where he was enrolled in the Criminal Justice program and later was employed by The Lehighton Police Department. He was of the protestant faith and attended church services at the Living Hope Lighthouse Church in Palmerton, Pa. Darryl was a Life member of the Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club and was a member and served as a Forest Fire Warden for over 54 years with the District 18 Association. Surviving is a daughter Jamie M. Hunt (Jeffrey) of Lehighton, 2 granddaughters, Aubrey & Brenna Hunt, Nephew/Nieces-Edward, Donna, & Kelly. He was predeceased by a son Shawn Brewster in 2009, 2 brothers, Dean, John Jr. (Jack) Brewster & a 3 year old sister Donna Brewster. Funeral Services will be held on Wed, July 9th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton, Pa. with the Rev. Keith House officiating. Call 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Wed. at the funeral home. Interment in The Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Memorial Contrbutions in his name may be made to The Living Hope Lighthouse Church, 705 3rd St. Palmerton, Pa. 18071.
