Mr. Charles Phillippe Clark Jr., 71, of Parryville, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Tues. Aug. 11th at The Wilkes Barre VA Hospital. He was the husband of Christina M. (Balia) Clark. Born in Newark, NJ, on Friday, April 29, 1949, he was a son of the late Charles P. & Vivian (McConn) Clark Sr. He served our country with the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of Sergeant during his tour in Okinawa while specializing as an Aircraft Mechanic with the 99th Field Maintenance Squadron. He later served our country with the Army National Guard. Prior to his retirement, he was employed in the Lehigh Valley by the US Postal Service as a mail handler. He was proud of his Apache descent. A proud veteran, he was a member of The Disabled Ameican Veterans, The Lehighton American Legion Post 314, The VFW Post 256 Lehighton, & The Viet Nam Veterans Association. An accomplished free-lance artist, he enjoyed drawing, artwork, martial arts and outdoor sportsmanship. He was of the Catholic Faith. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Charles P. Clark III & his wife Ankhana, a daughter Starshine Clark of Eugene, Oregon, 2 stepsons, Heriberto Rodriguez & his wife Cynthia of Olympia, Washington, David Rodriguez & his wife Jessica, of Palmerton, a step-daughter, Diana, wife of John Doesberg, of NY, a sister, Patricia McConn, a brother, Keith McConn, many grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, a great-grandson, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte, & a brother, Jay. Funeral Services & Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
