Mr. Carl E. Andrew

Mr. Carl E. Andrew, 90, of Lehighton, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Wed. Aug. 14th at his residence. He was the husband of the late Bessie (Hosier) Andrew who passed away in 1995, and the current companion of Jane Shellhammer. Born in E. Weissport, Pa. on Oct. 26, 1933, he was a son of the late Erwin & Elizabeth (Dotter) Andrew. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a crane operator for the Bethlehem Steel Corp. Carl was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lehighton. He held Life memberships with Lehigh Fire Company #1, The Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club, & The Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to Bingo, Pinochle & Fishing. Surviving in addition to his companion Jane are 4 sons, Kevin Andrew (Heidi), Carl Andrew Jr. (Jane) of East Weissport, George Andrew ( Doreen) of Long Run, Brian Andrew (Kerry) of Union Hill, a sister, Janet McGee (John ) of Stroudsburg, many grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Vernon & Maynard Andrew. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20th at 11 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., Lehighton with SALM Kathy Long officiating. Call 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday.
