Mr. Bruce Charles Smith

Bruce Charles Smith, 69, of Franklin Township, Pa. passed into eternal rest on Sat. Jan. 10th at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa. He was the husband of Jill A. (Zanders) Smith. They were married for 45 years last June 7th 2025. Born in Lehighton, Pa. on Dec. 21st, 1956, he was the son of the late Charles H. Smith, Ferne L. (Ahner) Smith Meifarth, and the stepson of the late Conrad G. Meifarth. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Kovatch Corporation as a Welder/Fitter of commerical vehicles.He was a member of People's EC Church, Franklin Township, and held a Life membership at Lehigh Fire Co. #1, and held a social membership at Beaver Run Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Jill, Gardening, Golfing, Family time, The Philadelphia Eagles Football events, and spending time with his two dogs, Ozzie & Lucky. Surviving are 3 sons, Josh Smith (Terene) of Lehighton, Zachary Smith (Kayla) of Palmerton, Brett Smith (Heather) of Lehighton, a step-sister, Lisa Janiver (Lee) of Delaware, a step-brother, Scott Smith (Ann) of Virginia, & 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant sister, Diane Carol. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service in his honor will be held on Monday, Jan. 19th at 11 a.m. at Peoples EC Church, 216 Wagner St. Franklin Township with the Rev. Michael Coulson officiating.
