Mr. Barry Dean Weaver, 69, of the Lehighton Highrise, passed into eternal rest on Sunday, June 27th at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa. Born in West Penn Township (Andreas) on Wednesday, January 9, 1952, he was a son of the late Carl & Mary (Schafer) Weaver. He served our country with the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa during the Viet Nam War attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a laborer in the transport materials industry. He was of the Lutheran faith. Barry was a member of the Lehighton American Legion Post 314 and held a Life membership at Lehigh Fire Company #1. Surviving is a sister, Gloria J., wife of John Oravec of Andreas, Pa., a brother, Sterling Weaver & his wife Barbara of North Carolina., nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Weaver. A Graveside Celebration Of Life Service will be held on Thursday, July 1st at 10 a.m. in the Lehighton Cemetery, 4th & Alum St. with SALM Emma Weaver officiating followed by Military Honors under the direction of the Lehighton Area UVO.
