Mildred Beers
1938 - 2025
Mildred Beers, 87, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Mahoning Post Acute Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Mahoning Twp. She was the wife of the late Lamar Beers who passed away October 23, 2004.
Born in Towanda, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Koons) Bennett.
She was employed as a supervisor for the former Scotch Maid in Weissport until her retirement.
She was a graduate of Lehighton High School Class of 1956.
She was a member of Gnaden Huetten Order of the Eastern Star where she held the position of Past Worthy Matron and Secretary. She was also a member of Bethany EC church, Lehighton.
Mildred will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Surviving are daughters Nancy L. and her companion Peter D. Urso of Lansford and Julie B. Hartman and her husband Robert of Lehighton; grandchildren Shelby R. Hartman and her companion Joe Kresge, Justin Beers and his wife Leidy, and Robert Hartman and his wife Jessica; great grandchildren Anthony, Brielle, Riley, Keegan, and Monica; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters Catherine “Sis” Bunnevich, Elizabeth “Betty” Johnson, and Francis “Fran” Rehrig, and brothers John “Jack”, Richard “Dick”, and Robert “Rob” Bennett.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St. Lehighton, PA with LLM Emma Weaver officiating. Interment will be held in Lehighton Cemetery. Call Friday morning 9-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
