Michael Timothy "Iron Mike" Willingham, 78, of 247 Springhouse Rd. Lehighton, died Saturday September 2nd at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehab Center.
He worked 31 years in the Beam Yard of the Bethlehem Steel Corporation before retiring in 1995 at the age of 50.
Although born in Jeffersonville Indiana , Son of the late Elbert & Arlene (Dressler) Willingham. He was a lifetime resident of Lehighton area since moving there as a 4 year old.
Survivors include Daughter Cheryl Yannaris of Reading, Sons David of Lehighton, and Brian of Bowmanstown, Six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Michael was a social member of the Lehighton Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, His Brothers Carl L. of Lehighton and Gerald of Slatington , also his Sisters Dolores Silva of Lehighton and Patricia Raskin of Burlington NJ.
In lieu of flowers please Send donations in his memory to Lehighton Fire Department. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday September the 12th at 11 a.m. at The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 South 4th Street, Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating, call 10-11 a.m. Tuesday. The Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
