Mary Ellen (Shea) Orach, 92 of Jim Thorpe, passed away peacefully on Nov. 18th, 2023. Born to parents, Donald and Irene (Kresge) Shea, Mary Ellen was a life-long learner, doer and caretaker. She was an expert at soldering circuit boards for Bell Atlantic and many other skills before and since. She had wit for days and never lost it. After working to construct her home in Catasauqua, she moved to Jim Thorpe to help build a family for her grandsons, who will never forget the opportunities that she provided for them. She lovingly entrusted her final care to Jeanne and George Martino, who gave back some of what she had given to so many others.
Mary Ellen was predeceased by her parents; husband, Joseph Orach; daughter, Kathryn Martino; six brothers and two sisters. She is survived by many nieces, many nephews, three grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
