Marlene J. Parry, 83, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 17, 2022 in her son’s residence. Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Arvilla (Nester) Muffley. She was last employed by PenTeleData in Palmerton and previously worked for Dr.Sportelli/Dobias Chiropractic Office in Palmerton. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Lehighton.
Surviving are a daughter Lisa J. Weiss and her husband James of Lehighton; sons Glenn A. Schaeffer and his wife Joanne and Chris N. Parry, both of Lehighton; sisters Gail Kleintop and her husband Paul of Lehighton, Patti Ketchledge of Andreas, and Tina Muffley and her companion Leroy Buskirk of Weatherly; brothers Stewart of Lansford, Rick and his companion Deb of Lehighton, and Keith and his companion Dana of Jim Thorpe; 3 grandchildren: 5 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son Todd Wriedt, sisters Denna Thomas and Bunny Fadden and brothers Charles Fadden and Melvin Muffley.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home Inc., 190 S. 4th St., Lehighton with the Rev. Dr. Dean Frey officiating. Interment will be held in Franklin Heights Cemetery, Lehighton. Call Wednesday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Donations will be accepted in her name to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240 and Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W 13th St., Jim Thorpe, PA 18229. The Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
