Magdalen K. Armbruster, 78, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Wednesday March 27, 2024 in her residence. She was the wife of David R. Armbruster. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on November 5th of last year. Born in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late John Charles and E. Magdalen (Curran) Swatt. She was an owner/operator of a hair salon at 9th & Mahoning Streets, in Lehighton and was also a millworker. She was a graduate of Lehighton High School Class of 1963. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Packerton where she was past president of the Willing Workers and a member of the church choir. She was a past worthy matron of the former Gnaden Huetten Chapter of the Eastern Star, Mother Advisor of The Rainbow Girls, and was also a member of the Orwigsburg Chapter of the Eastern Star. Magdalen was a member of the Lehighton American Lehighton Ladies Auxiliary and was a life member of the Lehighton Orioles Nest 183.

Surviving along with her husband are a daughter Christine wife of Gary Shupp of Lehighton; sons David Jr. husband of Melissa, and Richard and his companion Joyce Zehner both of Lehighton; a sister Mary E. Rader of Harrisburg; brothers Richard Swatt and his companion Krystine Beck, and Leonard Swatt husband of Cynthia both of Lehighton; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother Raymond Swatt.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 02, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 S. 4th St. Lehighton with SALM Emma Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Packeton Cemetery, Mahoning Twp. Call Tuesday morning 9:30-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. The Andrew P.
