Lois L. (Arndt) Rehrig

Lois L. Rehrig, 90, of East Penn Twp., entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 17, 2022 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Gene E. Rehrig who passed away July 6, 1991. Born in Ashfield, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harvey T. and Catherine (Ronemus) Arndt. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Gene Auto Body Shop in West Bowmanstown. She was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School.  She was a member of Dinkey Memorial Church, Ashfield where she was very active in all church activities including playing the piano and organ for Sunday school and church services, a member of the Ladies Aide, and the Quilters Guild. She was also a member of Project Tuesday and a volunteer for Palmerton Hospital. 

Surviving are a daughter Beverly Schmidt and her husband Richard of Walnutport; a son Randy Rehrig and his wife Darlene of Coopersburg; 3 grandchildren Brandon Schmidt, Matthew Rehrig, and Rachel Longacre; 4 great grandchildren Lillian, Madison, Kelsey, and Krylia; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Stacey Schmidt; sisters Dorothy Cunfer (her twin) and Ruth Arndt and a brother Carl Arndt.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in Dinkey Memorial Church, 1742 Dinkey Road, Ashfield, PA with Rev. Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Ashfield. Call Friday morning 10:00 A.M. until time of services in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name to the church.
