Leonard J. Swatt, 76, of Lehighton, passed away at home on Wednesday January 29th 2025. Born on January 6th, 1949 in Shamokin, he was the son of the late John and E. Magdalen (Curran) Swatt. He is predeceased by his brother Raymond and his sister Maggie Armbruster. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Cynthia (Beidleman) and his sons, Kevin (Missy), Greg, and stepson Robert (Carla), 6 grandchildren, his brother Richard and his sister Mary E. Rader. He was a graduate of Lehighton Area High School. He then joined the US Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He joined the Naval Reserve and retired from the Navy in Dec of 1992. He also worked as a deputy for the PA Fish and Game Commission for many years. He was employed by the NJ Zinc company and Prince Manufacturing. He attended Faith Alive Church where he served as an usher and a trustee.
Service: Celebrations of life to be held Thursday February 6th 2025 at 4 pm, Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St, Palmerton PA. In lieu of flowers contributions an be made to Faith Alive Church.
